SKYKITS IS MOVING TO TENNESSEEON SEPT. 2, 2008 WE BEGAN CONSTRUCTION OF A 21,050 SF, TWO MILLION DOLLAR, MANUFACTURING FACILITY AT HENRY COUNTY AIRPORT (KPHT) PARIS, TN. COMPLETION IS EXPECTED BY JANUARY, 2009.
THIS STATE OF THE ART FACILITY WILL ALLOW SKYKITS TO INCREASE PRODUCTION OF READY-TO-FLY AIRCRAFT WHILE LOWERING PRICES FOR BOTH RTF AIRPLANES AND KITS.
ADDITIONALLY WE'LL BE OFFERING LIGHT-SPORT FLIGHT INSTRUCTION, ANNUAL INSPECTIONS, A BUILDER ASSIST PROGRAM AND INTRODUCTORY BUILDING SEMINARS.

Flight into known fun Conditions
For follow-your-nose, no-destination-in-mind,
be-there-as-soon-as-I-figure-out-where-there-is flying, Skykits is the
ultimate airplane manufacturer. You could say we specialize in short
takeoff and landing (STOL) airplanes but, more to the point, we specialize in
fun.
Zipping along at 200mph from point A to point B has it's merits - in fact it's the nicest way to get from city to city. But what happens when you have no city you need to go to? You certainly can't follow a meandering river at 200mph burning expensive Avgas at 16 gallons per hour. When you need 2000' of hard surface runway, a 400' clearing in the autumn woods, while very attractive, isn't available to you. So without a specific destination or place to land, your airplane spends more time in the hangar than you would really like - and you spend less time enjoying your favorite pastime.
This is where Skykits comes in.
A Skykits airplane needs no destination. No runway. No 16 gallons per hour. No Avgas (we use 5gal/hr of Mogas). All it needs is your nose - just your nose. It's what we call CFUN flying. Climb in, Follow-Ur-Nose. In fact the track of a Skykits airplane is hardly ever a straight line or at a fixed altitude. With our huge windshield, you'll see all kinds of interesting things and, since we can fly really, really slow if we want to, you'll see them with remarkable clarity. So that mysterious patch of sand to the left, crooked little stream to the right or funny looking abandoned farmhouse straight ahead are all Skykits destinations.
Now find a few hundred feet of clear ground, land, and explore that neat something you just found. Our STOL airplanes will land almost anywhere. And they're just as responsive at slow speed as they are at cruise so you'll find it incredibly easy to make a smooth Skykits landing. Then takeoff again, in about a hundred feet, and fly on to your next Skykits destination - with a big grin on your face.
So at the end of a Skykits day, you've gone nowhere in particular and had great fun doing it. That's really what we're all about.
